8th Faculty of Management International Summer School 2012

During the time spent in Koper you will attend intensive courses, have the opportunity to visit some of the most successful companies in the Primorska region, discover the local culture and socialize with local students and people from all over the world. This means that the Summer School involves much more that just in-class teaching. You will learn about Slovenia, enhance your personal skill-set and learn how to do business through an interesting mixture of lectures, in-class discussions and company visits.
The summer school offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses with ECTS value. You can earn up to 9 ECTS credits per course if you fulfil all requirements successfully.

Courses
Management Summer School is held every year from 1st of June till 31st of August. The courses are performed with the combination of students' activities in e-classroom what is known as blended learning approach and face-to-face (in-class) sessions. Those are going to be delivered from 27th June till 8th July 2012. From 1st of June 2012 study materials will be available in e-classroom. During the Summer School period teachers are available in e-classroom and via e-mail. Final assignment needs to be done by the 31st of August 2012.

All courses are held in English (so good command of English is necessary) by Slovenian and foreign lecturers. Course might not be delivered, if less than 5 students apply.
Tuition fee
Fee for the undergraduate course with 6 ECTS is 300 EUR, for the course with 7 ECTS is 350 EUR.
Fee for one postgraduate course with 9 ECTS is 468 EUR.
Discount:
- 50 % for the second selected course;
- 30 % group discount (for at least 3 participants);
- 30 % for students from University of Primorska (Erasmus and Ceepus students included).

Cancellation
25% of the paid amount will be held in case of cancellation received until June 15, 2012.
50% of the paid amount will be held in case of cancellation received until June 20, 2012.
Cancellations received after June 20, will be charged the full rate.
All refunds will be made when the Summer School ends.
Visa
Persons wishing to enter Slovenia must have a relevant travel document. EU/EEA citizens do not need a passport to enter Slovenia, only a valid identity card. A foreigner wishing to enter the Republic of Slovenia needs a valid passport and a visa or residence permit, unless otherwise stipulated by law or international agreement.

Certificate and Transcript of Records
All students participating in the Faculty of Management Summer School will receive a certificate of attendance. For those who will receive a positive assessment the Transcript of Records with the obtained ECTS credits will be issued (1ECTS=25 to 30 hours of students´workload).

Social Programme
The social programme includes visit to Slovenian countryside, as well as a boat trip and picnic for participants but there will also be free time to swim in the Adriatic Sea.
