Simona Kustec

Simona Kustec is a full professor and researcher at the Faculty of Management, University of Primorska. Her research interests include public policy and policy analysis, management and governance studies, human rights policies, and the user role of education and science. As an active researcher and scholar, she has published over 400 different scholarly works at home and abroad, and she has worked and received further training as a visiting lecturer and researcher at many foreign universities, including the University of Essex and the University of Stirling in the UK, the University of Konstanz and the University of Duisburg in Germany, the University of Jyväskylä in Finland, the University of Paraná in Brazil, the International University of Venice in Italy, the University of Zagreb in Croatia. Between 1999 and 2022 she was employed as a lecturer and researcher at the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Ljubljana. During the 2014-2018 parliamentary term, she was a Member of the National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia and Head of the Parliamentary Group. From 2020 to 2022, she was the Minister of Education, Science, and Sport of the Republic of Slovenia.
