Course purpose

The purpose of this course is to gain deeper understanding of currently relevant socio-economic problems that are present in the global economy. Students will be able to understand, critically evaluate and link current demographic phenomena with macroeconomic information which are for instance provided by the media. Only with such understanding the students will be able to make appropriate decisions as economists.
