Course purpose
To equip the student with the ability to recognize innovative elements on products and services and assesses the plausibility of protecting them with industrial property rights. The student will know how to distinguish between different IP rights and to choose (a combination of) the most appropriate ones. The student will be able to prepare the content of the contract for the transfer of industrial property rights.

- The importance of successful management of industrial property rights in an organization
- Use of distinguishing marks (marks, geographical indications) in business practice
- Promoting innovation in the organization and use of the patent protection system
- Acquisition of the creative design model and its use in the market
- Strengthening the visibility of national products and services through geographical indication and quality schemes
- New plant variety and its protection as a business opportunity
- Management of industrial property rights in an organization
