Content (Syllabus outline):

I. Introduction: Basic concepts – management, ethics, politics and public policies, philosophy.

Methodologies: Group hermeneutic studying of basic texts  from the field  (reading and interpretation of two key texts sentence by sentence), comparative reading of theories and concrete positions in the age of globalisation, discussion and encouragement of problematization of the issues in the light of ethical dilemmas, and questions related to the functioning of politics.

II. Key topics:

management and philosophy-management, politics and policies
management and administration, governing
management and society, the social
management, labour, action and ethics
history of management and the understadning of management though time
issues of critical management
ethics, politics and social science in general in the context of management
differences between social sciences and humanistics
social order and management
contemporary »crisis« and ethical dimensions of the situation

III. Reflection of the key topics:

ethics and non-ethics of contemporary management
the problem of morale and ethics in historical perspective
history of management in philosophical and social light
handling of concrete examples of politics and management and management as policies
management of non-philosophy or management of knowledge and ethical problem of tha Xth century
problems of ethics in the age of globalizaton
