Course purpose

The students will be able to adopt legally supported decisions in the field of HRM. Students are able to identify legal risks within the organization in the field of HR and to design the strategy for employment and outsourcing activities.

Content (Syllabus outline)

  • Regulations governing legal position of HR managers in public and private organizational forms.
  • Role of managers in decision-making on employing workers/public officials and on conducting civilian labor contract.
  • Legal arrangement of the role of managers in legal regulation of salaries and other work conditions.
  • Legal regulation of the position of managers in making decisions on rights of individuals, obligations, and responsibilities of employees in private sector/public officials.
  • Legal regulation of the role of managers in the procedures of protection of rights of employees in private sector/public officials.
  • The role of management in collective labour arrangements.
  • The role of digitalization on employment relations.
  • Managing new forms of work.
  • The role of management in labor disputes: litigation and alternative resolution.
