Content
Purpose:
The purpose of the course is to develop the ability to independently, in-depth and critically address a selected research problem in the field of political science. The student develops the ability of independent analytical work, argumentative discussion, written expression in legal language and presentation and defense of one's own views. With a master's thesis, the student demonstrates in-depth knowledge in the professional field in which the studied problem is located. The student demonstrates the use of theoretical knowledge in practice, the ability of independent analytical work and the ability to present the acquired knowledge and skills in writing. By oral defense before the commission, the student demonstrates the ability to orally present and explain the acquired knowledge and skills.
Content (Syllabus outline):
The master's thesis is an independent author's work of a student, in which the student comprehensively deals with a problem that is in the field of political science. The student chooses a topic in agreement with the tutor. The master's thesis can be of a theoretical nature, research or professional. The student must choose a methodology that is appropriate to the type and content of the assignment. The length and structure of the thesis are specified in the Instructions for writing a master's thesis.
