  • Information science skills 1

Word: intermediate and advanced features: auto corrections, mail merge, advanced search, quick parts, useful short keys, forms, code fields
Google docs: form creation, docs administration, group work and overview of key add ins.

  • Information science skills 2

Excel: naming cells, using advanced functions: statistical, financial. Advanced use of pivot tables with data from outside sources. Advanced use of charts and macro recording.

  • Diploma preparation

The workshop presents the procedure that takes the student from the idea to the final steps of diploma. Included are basic information on copyrights from the author’s and the student’s point of view. It shows proper use of copyrighted work, the importance of proper citation and credits and the consequences of breaking those rules. The workshop examines different point of views on literature and information handling in the process of diploma creation with the emphasis on searching and using freely accessible sources on the internet. Rules of usage of scientific apparatus in professional texts are also provided along with the proper addressing and credits at Faculty of Management. Proper grammar and technical characteristics of the diploma are also presented.
