Workshop

The event is organised within the project Green, Digital & Inclusive University of Primorska, which includes three pilot projects focused on   curricular   renewal   of   professional   higher   education   study   programmes   at   UP   to   support   broader   national   reform for a green, resilient transition to Society 5.0. The pilot projects aim to equip students with the skills for a green and digital transition to Society 5.0.

WORKSHOP PROGRAMME  INVITATION

1. PART: How to ask questions?

When the types of instruments for data collection have been selected, the issues about the type of questions become essential. Poor questions lead to poor quality of data and consequently the interpretations of results could be even wrong not only weak. This part of the workshop is dedicated to questions. Participants can bring their own work in progress, or other examples that will serve as a basis for discussion.

PhD students are the target population for the workshop. 

2. PART: Academic writing

This part of the workshop will provide an opportunity for doctoral students, young researchers and postdocs and other interested to gain new knowledge and skills on academic writing for publishing scientific papers in international economic and business journals. It will provide important steps and tips for navigating the publication process:

• how to start with the paper preparation,
• what are the important elements for the readers driven approach and what editors seek,
• selecting journals and the process of revising.

It will be shared and discussed practices and experiences with the structure of the content commonly used:

• how to formulate the main story, constructing thematic and extended outlines, and the content of individual sections,
• writing the first draft, revising, and editing,
• what journals seek, selecting journals, and the process of revising,
• final notes and tips.
