dr. McArdle is a visiting lecturer in the GUEST UP project - Hosting foreign experts and professors at the University of Primorska

During his visit to UP FM, he will hold a lecture within the course Legal aspects of management in the master’s programme in Management and master’s programme in Law for Management as well as in the course Philosophy in the master’s programme Political Science – international relations and economic diplomacy.
David McArdle LLB, PhD is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Law at Stirling University, Scotland. He was Head of the Law School from 2019-2022 and is currently the law school research coordinator. David teaches sports law, employment law and trade union law and his research interests concern EU sports law, sports medico-legal issues and sports arbitration. He was recently part of a successful Erasmus+ application on sport and sustainable development. His two most recent publications concerned EU citizenship, TopFit v DLV’s case, and pregnancy discrimination in US college sports (with Dr Sylvia de Mars). His next book, EU Sports Law co-authored with Dr Leanne O’Leary, will be published in late 2023.
The project is co-financed by the Republic of Slovenia and the European Union from the European Social Fund.
