Content of lecture
The lecture will introduce the basic terms related to the topic of market segmentation and positioning and offer practical examples, explanation and description through a case study approach about them. It will include tasks for students to brainstorm about, present and discuss in order to achieve a proper understanding of the topic.
About the lecturer
Ing. Jana Gálová, PhD, is an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Marketing, Trade and Social Studies at the Faculty of Economics and Management of the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra, Slovak Republic. Her lecturing activities and research areas include topics from the field of marketing strategies, global and international marketing as well as sustainability. She has a Doctoral degree in Economics and Management of Agriculture and Food Processing from her doctoral studies at the Department of Marketing and Trade at the FEM SUA in Nitra. Her dissertation topic was devoted to international marketing strategies for emerging markets, where she applied knowledge from numerous research and study stays abroad. She is also a Project Manager and has 10+ years of experience from coordinating and working on various projects, such as Horizon, Erasmus+, TEMPUS, International Visegrad Fund and Leonardo da Vinci, mobility programmes CEEPUS and Erasmus Mundus, as well as other international and domestic projects. She is the Coordinator of the CEEPUS SK44 Applied Economics and Management network, which is a multilateral university exchange program in the extended Danube region, offering mobility options for both staff and students also from the University of Primorska.
The lecture will be delivered as part of the subject ''Introduction to marketing'' in the undergraduate Academic Bachelor study programme Management with Full prof. dr. Tina Vukasović, PhD.
