Prof. dr. ing. Martin Jordan is the head of the Department ''Business Economics and Quality management'' and a professor of production logistics and quality techniques at the Univerity of Applied Sciences Upper Austria.

In the first block selected principles of production organization are discussed within the group (e.g. lean principles, 5S as basis for everything, sustainable innovations, organization of an assembly line). At the end of the first block, the students are asked to assemble small cars out of Lego parts. The students compete against each other in 3-4 groups, optimizing the car assembly. The expected outcome is that each group presents 2 alternative concepts.

The lecture will be delivered in the framework of the Bachelor Degree in Management, in the subject Management of Sustainable Development, delivered by prof. dr. Klemen Kavčič.
