Katja Plauštajner Metelko, LL.M., is a lawyer in the law office Plauštajner, which has its seat in Ljubljana and a subsidiary in Celje. The law office practices in the field of commercial and civil law and specialises predominantly in international commercial arbitration, contract law, construction law and EU law.

Katja Plauštajner Metelko has obtained her graduate degree at the Law Faculty in Ljubljana and an LL.M. degree at Harvard Law School. She has since worked also as a judicial adviser at the commercial law department of the Higher Court in Ljubljana, and as a “référandaire” in the cabinet of the Slovenian Advocate General at the Court of Justice of the European Union in Luxembourg.

She is admitted to the Bar in the State of New York and is a court sworn interpreter for German language.

 

The lecture will be delivered in the framework of the Bachelor Degree in Management, in the subject Introduction to Legal Theory, delivered by assoc. prof. dr. Danila Djokić.
