Dr. Satu Lautamäki acts as a Principal Lecturer in the School of Business and Culture at the Seinäjoki University of Applied Sciences, Finland. She is teaching and supervising bachelor and master degree students within culture production study programme as well as developing new research, development and innovation projects. She has a doctoral degree in marketing and her current area of expertise is Business for the Creative Industries. She is also a co-founder of a consultancy focused on business consultation and executive training. For more than 15 years, she has worked intensively with companies, consulting and training them about creativity, marketing, branding and image management. Dr. Lautamäki has led several international research and business development projects as well as acted as a member or chairperson of the executive group in these projects. She has published various research articles as well as co-authored books and reports based on the prior research and business projects. In recent years, she has focused on SME internationalization, analyzing how small and medium-sized companies internationalize and how to support the internationalization activities and processes. Her future research activities will be focusing on the integration of business thinking and creative industries.
