Abstract
The paramount schools today are shaping the staff that tomorrow’s economy will necessitate, so they need to be able to connect with the economy and actively involve students in this new modus operandi. Our thesis is that inadequate communication between the sphere of education and the sphere of economy is the main problem which is stopping more fruitful cooperation. The paper presents our qualitative research on the connection between secondary education and the economy. The most important findings of our research are that Slovenia fails to have a satisfactory connection between secondary education and the economy. Above all, the problem is communication between all stakeholders. All participants in the research expect the State to systematically regulate sustainable dialogue.
