Abstract

The article presents the results of a quantitative research, in the framework of which we analyse secondary panel data on youth unemployment along with certain factors of unemployment, all with the help of multivariate regression. The key finding of the research is that the existing system of integration between secondary education and the economy through staff scholarships in Slovenia does not have a statistically significant impact on youth employability, which indicates the lack and inadequacy of this integration process. Consequently, it is necessary to comprehensively revise and overhaul the integration system in order to bring about the desired effects. Some recommendations are made to improve the situation in this area.
