The research program aims to investigate the interdisciplinary (socio-economic and health-related) aspects of the labor market, entrepreneurship and health on economic well-being and sustainable development. It aims to broaden and deepen scientific knowledge, promote the practical application of science and research, address the research needs of sectoral policies and advance science in three interrelated research areas: 1) labor market, work and work environment; 2) risks to health and quality of (working) life; and 3) social challenges. These areas will be researched in a comprehensive and interdisciplinary manner, including economic, legal and ethical, health, psychosocial, informational, financial and systemic aspects, aspects of sustainable development, social and societal innovation, social entrepreneurship and new research approaches and methods.

The project's objectives
The guiding principle and goal of the research program is comprehensive research and professional treatment in the interdisciplinary research field, the acquisition of further national and international funding and the achievement of research excellence (scientific publications). The formation of an interdisciplinary research group aims to comprehensively define, tackle and solve complex current social problems. At the same time, the interdisciplinary approach allows for greater (research) flexibility and responsiveness in the management of interdisciplinary research content and methods.
The importance of research for the development of science is linked to original scientific results that include a comprehensive analysis of the factors influencing the labor market, entrepreneurship and general health care, as well as the links between the labor market and workers' health. There is a gap in the Slovenian literature, especially in the latter. The research results of the analysis of factors influencing the labor market, entrepreneurship and health are relevant from a scientific point of view and for policy design, management and adaptation. The results of the research work will serve as the basis for formulating proposals for systemic solutions, policies, and measures in the involved interdisciplinary fields.
