The project's objectives

Project Think XR is aimed at establishing a curriculum and new teaching modules in the field of augmented and virtual reality. Augmented reality technologies represent a new, modern digital and interactive medium and are recognized in Europe as one of the key new digital technologies (Expert Workshop on Interactive Technologies). In combination with top-notch technological equipment, the creation of content and services and the provision of user experience, they enable the realization of innovative and economically competitive solutions.

Their potential is reflected in a number of analytical studies that address the lack of skills and knowledge in the fields of information and communication technologies, informatics and computer science, and multimedia. In particular, the lack of knowledge, training programs and personnel in the fields of augmented reality, user interface development and experience is highlighted.
According to the leading analytical houses, augmented reality is one of the main technological trends of 2021, and it is also predicted to continue its rapid growth in the next 5 years. Due to the restrictions that apply in the context of COVID-19, the use of XR technologies is only gaining momentum, as it enables remote work and the creation of simulation environments for learning, collaboration and socializing. Technologies are also increasingly gaining ground in the processes of the creative and entertainment industry, entrepreneurship, trade, industry 4.0, healthcare, and above all, exceptional shifts are taking place in the field of school education development.

Project phases
  1. Increasing the digital competences of target groups (teachers, tutors, pupils, students, professional staff) in the field of content development, use and teaching with the help of augmented reality – innovative teaching for the 21st century,
  2. The development of new innovative pedagogical approaches and didactic tools, through the establishment of the XR Academy and
  3. The establishment of an innovative, open and creative learning environment through cooperation between education and industry (XR partnership), which is also the basis for informal and lifelong education.
