The Think XR project is co-financed by Norway with funds from the Norwegian Financial Mechanism in the amount of 702.596 EUR. The purpose of the project is. (Program Education – strengthening of human resources with the aim of improving human capital) from July 1st, 2022, represents an exceptional opportunity for upgrading digital competences and education in virtual and augmented reality (XR) technologies.

The lead partner of the project is Šolski Center Slovenske Konjice-Zreče. In cooperation with Technology Park Ljubljana, University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Primorska, Faculty of Management, Hashnet d.o.o., Unior Kovaško industrijo d.d. and our Norwegian partners the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), we have joined forces and knowledge to create a future based on XR technologies.

As part of the Think XR project, we have established a multidisciplinary group of experts that directs project activities. We performed an analysis of the situation, needs, and trends in education and the economy. This analysis served as a solid basis for the development of new processes and software modules for education that will include XR technologies. As part of the Think XR project, we established a demonstration center for XR technologies in Slovenske Konjice and Ljubljana, equipped with modern XR technology. In addition, we have created a 100-hour XR Academy program that enables teachers and mentors to acquire the necessary skills to teach XR technologies. In the coming months, we are preparing the implementation of the first pilot implementations of XR content for pupils and students, who will thus acquire new knowledge of modern XR technologies.

With the Think XR project, we connect experts, educational institutions, mentors, companies, organizations, and leading experts in the field of virtual and augmented reality technologies (XR technologies) in the XR partnership for the development of digital competences.

The project Think XR benefits from a € 702.596 grant from Norway. The aim of the project is education - strengthening of human resources with the aim of enhancing human capital.
