On Thursday, 19 September 2024, the Faculty of Management hosted the UP FM Employee Consultation, under the title "FM stakeholders and future challenges".
The Consultation brought together the university and faculty management, the professorial staff and the professional colleagues, who spent the day in an interesting programme. We were joined by the Rector of the University of Primorska, Prof. Dr. Klavdija Kutnar, who presented us with statistics on the success of the Faculty of Management in the past academic year, as well as the overall activities of the University of Primorska. The guests were also welcomed and given introductory thoughts for the upcoming academic year by the President of the AZ UP Faculty of Management, Prof. Dr. Anita Trnavčević. This was followed by a presentation by the Dean of the UP Faculty of Management, Prof. Dr. Tatjana Horvat, who presented the successes of the last academic year and the novelties and proposals for the upcoming academic year. The meeting was also joined by a student representative, namely the President of the Student Council of the Faculty of Management, Thomas Medica, who presented the activities and successes of the Student Council. We also hosted Dr. Boris Jerman, member of the Management Board of the University of Primorska and Head of the Legal Area of the Port of Koper, who gave us an interesting presentation on the activities, successes and challenges of the Port of Koper. This was followed by a lecture on Artificial Intelligence in Education, which was given in an informative and entertaining way by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Elizabeta Zirnstein and Lect. Martina Kovačič.
After lunch, there were presentations by the Vice-Deans, with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Borut Kodrič talking about the renewal and improvement of the programme of study. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ana Grdović Gnip presented and commented on the results of the research activity survey at the Faculty of Management. This was followed by an active collection of strategies using the brainstorming method, conducted by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Armand Faganel, who actively involved everyone present in the discussion and collection of strategies of the Faculty of Management. We concluded with a presentation of the Centre for Knowledge Development and Transfer, led by Prof. Dr. Simona Kustec and Associate Leon Pavlić, who invited special guests Jorge Salgado Fontcuberta and Stjepan Mihovil Blažević, who are collaborating on the EEN (Enterprise Europe Network) project.
