The final conference of the COST project CA18213 – Rural NEET Youth Network: Modeling the risks underlying rural NEETs social exclusion (RNYN) took place at the Committee of the Regions in Brussels on Tuesday 12 March 2024. NEET includes young people neither in education nor employment, which can be a pressing problem in the peripheral rural areas of the EU, especially in some of the new EU member states. The topicality, results, resonance, and impact of the COST project were in various areas. Its successful implementation was also one of the reasons that the project's final conference was held at the Committee of the Regions in Brussels. About 80 participants participated in the final conference, including Prof. dr. Štefan Bojnec, who has been active in several areas of this project for the past four years.
