In Gödöllő, Hungary, the kick-off meeting of the AGRIGEP – Assessment and Implementation of Agriculture and Life Universities’ first Gender Equality Plans in Widening Countries – project took place on 28 February and 1 March 2023.
The project partners in live and representatives of the European Commission - DG Research and Innovation and DG Quality and Assurance – remotely on-line attended the kick-off meeting. The coordinator of the AGRIGEP project is the Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences (MATE) based in Gödöllő. As of 1st February 2021, it is the successor of the integration of five campuses – Georgikon in Keszthely, Kaposvár, Budai in Budapest, Károly Róbert in Gyöngyös, and Gödöllő – formerly with agriculture and life sciences related Hungarian universities from different parts of the country to the newly established MATE University based at the former Szent István University in Gödöllő. The University of Primorska is a partner in the AGRIGEP project. Prof. Dr. Štefan Bojnec presented the University of Primorska with the state of gender equality, objectives, tasks, deliverables, milestones, and the project team. He participated in discussions and activities at the kick-off meeting and in the first General Assembly meeting of the AGRIGEP project. The European Commission finances the AGRIGEP project in the framework of Horizon Europe (HORIZON).
