Between August 29th and September 1st, 2023, the 17th Congress of the European Association of Agricultural Economists titled "Agri-Food Systems in a Changing World: Connecting Science and Society" took place in Rennes, France. The congress attracted 1050 participants, including the exceptional expert in agricultural economics, Prof. Štefan Bojnec. Professor Bojnec was a member of the international organizing committee for both this congress in Rennes and the previous one in Prague.
At the congress, Prof. Štefan Bojnec presented two significant contributions:

Explaining Gender Differences in the Intensity of Agri-Environment-Climate Scheme in Slovenia (together with Prof. Dr. Imre Fertő from the Center for Economic and Regional Studies in Budapest).

Rural Development and Rural Rejuvenation – Myth or Reality (together with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Alen Mujčinović from the University of Sarajevo).
Additionally, Prof. Bojnec also chaired the poster session titled "Local Agriculture," where important topics related to local farming were presented and discussed.
The next Congress of the European Association of Agricultural Economists, which will also mark the association's 50th anniversary, will take place in August 2025 at the University of Bonn in Germany. This is an important celebration and gathering in the field of agricultural economics eagerly anticipated by numerous experts in the field.
