Center Rotunda, in collaboration with the Faculty of Management of the University of Primorska, has opened the doors of a Coworking space in Koper: "Creating an Efficient Supportive Environment for Social Enterprises."
In collaboration with the Faculty of Management of the University of Primorska, Center Rotunda organized an exceptionally successful social entrepreneurship networking event as part of the sPOINT project. On this occasion, they also ceremoniously opened the coworking space on Ferrarska Street in Koper.
The event was inaugurated by the director of Center Rotunda and a lecturer at the Faculty of Management, assist. prof. Bojan Mevlja, and the Vice-Dean for Quality at the Faculty of Management, assoc. prof. Armand Faganel. Regarding the sPOINT project - Social Entrepreneurship Information Point, assist. prof. Mevlja said: "This is a significant project that supports and promotes social entrepreneurship, providing information and advice to potential social entrepreneurs. It also strives to increase opportunities for establishing new social enterprises, promote the growth of existing ones, and create new jobs. We are pleased to be part of such an innovative and inspiring project and look forward to future opportunities to promote social entrepreneurship and sustainable development."
The coworking space, which was ceremoniously opened during the networking event, represents an innovative concept of a working environment primarily designed for entrepreneurs, independent creators, startups, and other individuals who want to work in a shared space and connect and collaborate with other experts from various fields.
As assist. prof. Mevlja adds: "The benefits of using a coworking space are numerous. Firstly, it provides access to modernly equipped workspaces with all necessary facilities, such as office infrastructure and internet connection. Additionally, it offers shared spaces like relaxation areas, kitchens, and other communal areas where participants can connect and exchange ideas. In such an environment, you can meet different professionals and creators from various industries, which can lead to synergies, partnerships, and joint projects. Moreover, the presence of other entrepreneurs and creators in the coworking space can be highly motivating as it creates a sense of belonging to a community and encourages mutual support, knowledge sharing, and experience exchange. All these benefits of a coworking space contribute to the creation of a creative and collaborative environment where entrepreneurs and creators can develop, grow, and exchange knowledge and ideas. This is an important support for the development of social entrepreneurship and the promotion of innovation."
The event was enriched by guests who shared inspiring success stories and presented various projects.
Matjaž Horjak from the "Društvo Izhod TC" presented the rehabilitation program "House of Hope," which offers support and assistance to marginalized individuals and offenders in their withdrawal from their old environment, rehabilitation, and successful reintegration into society.
Dorijan Maršič from Inkubator d.o.o. Sežana presented the Entrepreneurship School for People with Hearing Loss program, which provides education and support to individuals with hearing loss in realizing their entrepreneurial ideas.
Tina Primožič from the Regional Development Center Koper presented the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs - Columbus 10 program. It is an excellent opportunity for young entrepreneurs who wish to gain international experience and expand their business network.
