On 17 October 2024, the Faculty of Management of the University of Primorska hosted a special group of students - Slovenian students from abroad. This visit provided an opportunity for students living outside Slovenia to gain a better understanding of the educational opportunities at our Faculty of Management, where future leaders and experts in the field of management are shaped. The meeting was organised by the association Slovik, Luka Koper and the Faculty of Management.
Visitors were welcomed by the faculty leadership: dean prof. dr. Tatjana Horvat, vice dean for education doc. dr. Borut Kodrič and vice dean for quality assoc. prof. dr. Armand Faganel, who personally introduced the students to the workings of our faculty, its educational programs, and the international opportunities it offers. In addition, he provided an insight into the study environment and activities offered by the faculty and the University of Primorska during their studies. Lecturer Matevž Malej prepared an interesting and at the same time fun mathematics activity for the students. We were also joined by a representative of the Faculty of Tourism Studies msc. Igor Novel who introduced the advantages and quality of studying at their Faculty of Tourism Studies. After the presentation, the students had the opportunity to visit lecture rooms and other facilities of our faculty where studies take place.
The visit of the Slovenian abroad students was part of the Faculty of Management's efforts to strengthen ties with Slovenian communities abroad and contribute to educating and informing young people about the opportunities for study and career development in Slovenia. We believe that the visit helped the students gain a better understanding of the study process at the University of Primorska and introduced the Faculty of Management as a potential choice for continuing their educational journey.
