Dear students,
Another year has passed – and what a year it was. Full of twists and turns and new discoveries. In the beginning of the previous academic year, such an ending was unforeseen and unpredictable. Distance learning has proven itself to be challenging – not just for us, the faculty, but also for you. I am extremely proud of you, our students, for accepting change with enthusiasm, adapting with success and being patient when faced with problems. We are doing our best to ensure the new study year goes as smoothly as possible and that by the end of the year, we’ll be able to meet again in the building of our faculty.
But not just any building – it is with great pleasure that I announce that the Faculty of management is moving to its new, modern and technologically improved facility. Construction is approaching its last stages – the only thing missing is the equipment and the energy you, the students, bring. After many years, the students and all the employees will finally spend their days under the same roof. Together, we will breathe for our faculty, help it improve, expand and contribute to its recognizability in the wider European region, all while securing your success during and after your studies.
The renovation, however, is not the only novelty the new study year brings. Besides the shift of the study process to the online environment, we’re happy to welcome the first generation of students enrolled into the Management master’s program in English. This program, performed in Slovenian as well, is precisely the program we renewed and improved starting with this academic year, with the aim of offering our students a better chance of specialization and individual development.
To all of those joining us for the first time: I sincerely hope that our faculty becomes a place where you feel good, find good allies and form close bonds. Know that the faculty is always here for you – we will always be willing to help you, so don’t be afraid of contacting our tutors, professors or student’s affairs office. There is a solution for every problem and we are here to help you find it.
Now is also the time to start thinking about obtaining international knowledge and experience. As a faculty, we are working hard to ensure the global environment is an integral part of the study process – as students, your role is to consider enriching your study process by participating in the international environment. Student exchanges, which attract many students each year, equip you with a new set of skills, broaden horizons and give you priceless experience which will benefit you greatly in the future.
Knowledge forms your future, and curiosity is the key to knowledge. Don’t let it go.
