One day a promotional team during course Principles of entrepreneurship (under supervision of assoc. prof. dr. Jana Hojnik) visited our faculty, afterwards we were inspired to participate in the Digital Innovative Incubator 2024 competition, mostly because of our faculty encourages students to engage in innovative projects, and we were excited to contribute our ideas. Together, as a team from the University of Primorska—Daria Averkova, Anastasiia Munykina, and Kseniia Zarytska - we developed the project Journey through Croatia with Jamnica and proudly took first place in Zagreb.
The concept behind our project is simple yet profound: to create an affordable, accessible way for young people, especially Generation Z, to connect with Croatian culture. Our case was connected with the tender of the famous company Jamnica, which takes the major part of the beverages market in Croatia. Therefore, we developed a beverage line that captures the essence of five iconic Croatian cities, with each flavor reflecting a unique aspect of its respective region. Each bottle includes a QR code linking to recommendations for exploring the cities, encouraging both locals and tourists to experience Croatia through taste and travel.
In addition to these physical products, we incorporated virtual reality and augmented reality experiences, letting consumers explore Croatian sites digitally. This technology-forward approach aligns with the interests of our target audience and adds a modern twist to traditional tourism.
Through this project, we not only created a product but also aimed to foster a community that values culture and exploration, bringing people closer to Croatia in a new and engaging way.
The contribution was prepared by student Daria Averkova.
