Dr. Grzegorz Kozieł gave lectures to students of the postgraduate study Law in Management.

Assoc. prof. dr. Danila Djokić invited Polish expert in the Intellectual property law dr. Grzegorz Kozieł, from University College of Enterprise and Administration, to expand the knowledge of the students of the postgraduate study Law in Management.

Dr. Kozieł started with the short presentation of his background and introduced the basics of intellectual property law. He explained the differences between the copyright, patents, unitary patent, trademarks (brands), and trade secrets. He focused on the more significant categories of goods that are important in business practice. He continued with the presentation of the main Polish legislation acts regarding the intellectual property law. In discussion the participants debated on the comparison between the Slovenian and Polish Law for the protection of intellectual property. It was concluded that there are no significant differences between the countries due the full implementation and compliance with the EU Directives and Regulations.

He emphasized that the Intellectual Property is important for the businesses as they are intangible assets - competition and Intellectual property Laws must work hand in glove in order to promote economic growth and ensuring consumers to access to a wide range of innovative and creative goods and services at normal prices. European Union needs an attractive, affordable and efficient intellectual property rights.
