Equal Pay Every Day

Gender equality has become one of the guiding principles of numerous institutions, which have adopted internal plans on how best to achieve it. In Germany, this inequality is most evident in the pay gap, where women still earn on average 16% less than men. This difference is highlighted annually by Equal Pay Day, which marks how many days of the year women work for free.

In 2026, this day will fall on February 27, and Transform4Europe universities will mark it a few days earlier. Under the slogan "Equal pay every day," they will organize a joint online event on March 24, where the University of Saarland, the University of Alicante, and the University of Primorska will present the differences and similarities regarding work, pay, and gender in their countries.

When: February 24, 2026, 12:30 p.m. – 1:15 p.m.

Participation will be online at the link HERE.
