Between April 14 and 18, a week was dedicated to all those who have completed their studies at the University of Primorska and continue to stay connected with the university — through collaboration, mentoring, feedback, and by acquiring new knowledge, increasingly shaped in the form of micro-credentials. Thursday, April 17, 2025, was a day of celebration — at the University of Primorska Alumni gathering, awards and recognitions were presented for the second year in a row to individuals who actively support the Alumni UP network and promote the university’s good reputation. This year, three awards and three recognitions were presented.

Among the recipients of the Alumni UP awards was our graduate Gašper Strahovnik, who received the "Patron Alumni UP" recognition.

Young entrepreneur Gašper Strahovnik successfully completed his undergraduate degree in Management in 2024 and is now continuing his studies in the master’s programme Law for Management. Already during his undergraduate studies, he began developing his business idea and, in 2023, founded the now highly successful company PolarWave, which produces equipment for the nautical and skydiving industries. He has shared his entrepreneurial journey, experiences, and knowledge with UP FM students. Through his work and achievements in entrepreneurship, he has contributed to the reputation and visibility of the University of Primorska, for which he was awarded the Patron Alumni UP recognition.
