As part of the Erasmus+ teaching mobility programme, we were delighted to welcome Assoc. Prof. Dr. Asta Kyguoliene from Vytautas Magnus University (Kaunas, Lithuania) to the University of Primorska, Faculty of Management on Friday, 16 May 2025.

The UP published an additional open call under Erasmus+ (KA131 2024) for student mobility at blended intensive programs. The deadline for the collection of applications is set as an open application deadline but lasts until the available funding is exhausted or by May 31, 2026, at the latest.

Elaheh Kordbacheh, a Master's student from the University of Milan, has joined the University of Primorska (UP) as an intern through the Erasmus exchange programme. Elaheh is currently pursuing her degree in Economics and Finance at the University of Milan, Italy.

With the University of Primorska joining Transform4Europe as a full member of the European University, new opportunities are opening up to broaden the knowledge of both UP and other students from T4EU member universities. "Bachelor Tracks" is a set of courses developed each academic year by T4EU members and offered to students as electives or additional courses. Registrations for the new academic year 2024/2025 is already open!

Erasmus+ gives students and young graduates the opportunity to do a traineeship/internship in a company or similar organisation in one of the countries participating in the Erasmus+ programme, either during their studies or within 12 months of graduation. On December 12. 2024, the Dean of UP FM, Prof. Dr. Tatjana Horvat, hosted Prof. Dr. Snežana Živković, Prof. Dr. Slobodan Milutinović, and Assist. Prof. Dr. Tamara Radjenović from the Faculty of Occupational Safety, University of Niš. The meeting was coordinated by Prof. Dr. Mirko Markič as part of the project Exploring Occupational Health and Safety Practices in Slovenia and Serbia: Enhancing Occupational Safety and Health in Organizations and Improving Employee Well-being.

Assoc. Prof. Suzana Laporšek hosted Prof. Dr. Peter F. Orazem on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, as part of the Fulbright Specialist Program at the University of Primorska Faculty of Management. Prof. Orazem delivered a lecture for the course Financial Markets, Institutions and Instruments for third-year students in the UN Management program, taught in English.

As part of the AGRIGEP project, the annual conference for project partners took place on November 13, 2024, at the Faculty of Management of the University of Primorska. The following day, November 14, 2024, a public workshop and roundtable discussion titled Empowering Women was organized. The event brought together domestic and international experts to discuss gender equality and the important role of institutions, such as universities, in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.

Between 14 and 18 October 2024, Prof. DDr. Imre Fertő, Dr. Zoltan Bakucs and Dr. Lajos Barath from HUN-REN, Centre for Economic and Regional Studies, Institute of Economics in Budapest visited the UP Faculty of Management in Koper within the framework of the bilateral cooperation project between the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts (SAZU) in Ljubljana and the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (HAS) in Budapest. On 17 October 2024, the Faculty of Management of the University of Primorska hosted a special group of students - Slovenian students from abroad. This visit provided an opportunity for students living outside Slovenia to gain a better understanding of the educational opportunities at our Faculty of Management, where future leaders and experts in the field of management are shaped. The meeting was organised by the association Slovik, Luka Koper and the Faculty of Management.
