Today, June 5, 2025, the 24th International Scientific Conference MIC 2025 officially commenced at the University of Zadar. This year’s conference is held under the theme Navigating Change: Resilience and Innovation for a Sustainable and Digital Era.
The conference was attended by more than 90 participants from 22 different countries, with 76 presenters contributing their research. In addition to the University of Trieste and the University of Zadar, this year’s conference is co-organized by the Center for Knowledge Development and Transfer at the University of Primorska’s Faculty of Management.
In the morning session, presentations were held across various sections covering topics such as digitalization, innovation, green transition, economics, education, sustainability, entrepreneurship, finance, and management. These sessions sparked lively discussions, exchanges of opinions, and numerous new ideas for further research and collaboration.
This was followed by the official opening of the conference, during which the conference chair, Prof. Anita Trnavčević, and the Dean of the UP Faculty of Management, Prof. Tatjana Horvat, welcomed the participants. The welcome speeches were followed by greetings from partner institutions.
Participants also attended a very interesting keynote lecture titled The Economic Challenges of Europe in Uncertain Times, presented by Mr. Lasse Michael Boehm. In his opening lecture, he outlined the key economic challenges Europe faces in uncertain times. He also spoke about the need for adaptability and innovation amid rapidly changing market conditions, as well as the importance of strengthening economic ties between EU countries to ensure long-term sustainable growth.
