On Wednesday, September 11, 2019, CAB EXPO, the closing event of the cross-border CAB - Cross border Acceleration Bridge (Interreg Italy-Slovenia) project, focused on the business promotion program and startup and innovation ecosystems, took place in Venice.

The aim of the promotion program was to make companies in the cross-border area more competitive in international markets through the original cross-border approach. The lead partner of the project is Friuli Innovazione and the consortium includes ABC Accelerator, University of Trieste, University of Ca'Foscari, University of Primorska, Chamber of Commerce of Slovenia, Gruppo Euris Srl and Smart Com Ltd. One day event dedicated to entrepreneurs and managers was attended by more than 100 participants.

International start-ups and innovative SMEs have been developing CAB's products and services for months, looking for innovative ways to enter new markets. At the CAB EXPO they had the opportunity to present their achievements and innovative business ideas. The event participants chose Tomappo, designed by Bojan and Tilen Blažic as their best business idea to win the CAB Innovation Award.

With the CAB EXPO event in Venice, the project is slowly coming to an end, but its legacy, promoting business development on both sides of the border, through continued cooperation between project partners, will continue long after.

CAB EXPO 2019
