Dr. Richard E. West from USA visited us in June within the framework of the project InoTeZ. He held a workshop for Slovenian teachers from University of Primorska and University od Maribor about the ''open badges'' system, which will be implemented and used as an electronic certificate for the acquired knowledge. Such certificates can be used by the recipient in the search for employment or they can be used as poofs of acquired knowledge in the course of the study.  Recognition in this case, of course, is in the domain of the educational institution.

Workshop was attended by professors and teachers from both universities. In the course of the workshop dr. West presented all the facts about the open badges system and then the participants got to make their own badges from scratch. The platform used for this was Credly.
