Admission Criteria to the Academic Bachelor Programme in Management
All applicants to the Academic Bachelor Degree Programme (BSc) must meet the following admission requirements:
High school graduates holding a diploma of a (senior) four-year secondary school (matura)
In cases where available spots are limited candidates will be ranked:
- results of final exams (high school) will count towards your ranking (60%)
- GPA during your 3rd and 4th years (high school) will count towards your ranking (40%)
High school graduates in any four-year secondary-school vocational programme and a final examination in the general matura subject Mathematics or English language; the selected subject cannot be the same as the subject passed in the framework of the vocational matura. (Valid for enrolment in 2023/2024 and 2024/2025 academic year)
Valid from 2025/2026 onwards:
High school graduates (four year secondary school with a vocational matura) in one of the four-year secondary-school vocational programmes classified in:
- KLASIUS-P-16 classification: broad area 04; or
- FORD classification: area 5; or
- ARRS classification: area 5; or
- CERIF classification: area S;
and also passed a final examination in one of the general matura subjects: Mathematics or English; the selected subject cannot be the same as the subject passed in the framework of the vocational matura.
In cases where available spots are limited candidates will be ranked:
- results of trade school final exams will count towards your ranking (40%)
- GPA during your 3rd and 4th years (trade school) will count towards your ranking (40%)
- results of high school courses /final exam will count towards your ranking (20%)
Highschool graduates from a four year high school or vocational school before June 1, 1995
In cases where available spots are limited candidates will be ranked:
- results of final exams (high school) will count towards your ranking (60%)
- GPA during your 3rd and 4th years (high school) will count towards your ranking (40%)
Students from other EU countries (foreign citizens and Slovenes without Slovene citizenship) and non EU countries will need a recognition of their foreign senior secondary school (high school) certificates.
All applicants who enroll in the study program in English language are required to demonstrate English language skills at B2 level according to the Common European Reference Framework for Languages (CEFR) with a corresponding certificate.
The relevant proof of compliance with this requirement can be:
- Certificate of completion of English language examination at B2 level or equivalent certificate (eg TOEFL iBT score of 72-939, IELTS score of 6-6.5, Cambridge FCE, Oxford B2 Upper intermediate, TOEIC min. 700 points and similar)
- a certificate received at general matura (in Slovenia), from which it is evident that his English language skills are at B2 level,
- a certificate of completion of secondary education in English language,
- a diploma at a higher education institution in a study program conducted in English language and a confirmation (statement) that the candidate has completed the program in English language.

Documents required in the admission and recognition process:
- Copy of the final certificate of a four-year secondary school,
- Certified Slovenian translation of the secondary school final certificate – only if issued in a foreign language - see more in the link bellow,
- Copy of transcripts for the last two years of completed secondary school,
- Certified Slovenian translation of transcript for the last two years of completed secondary school – if issued in a foreign language - see more in the link bellow,
- Proof of English language skills at B2 level or similar (see section Admission criteria).
- The original or a certified copy of the decision on recognition of foreign education, if already obtained
Transfers between study programmes
Candidates can transfer from 1st cycle programmes in the field of economics, business and administration to the senior year of the academic bachelor study programme in Management according to the criteria for transfers between study programmes.
Candidates can transfer if these criteria are fulfilled:
- the candidate must qualify for enrolment in the study programme,
- both study programmes have comparable competences or learning outcomes and
- at least half of study obligations (in ECTS) from the first study programme that relate to the compulsory courses of the academic bachelor study programme in Management may be recognized according to the criteria for recognition of knowledge and skills acquired before enrolment in the programme.
Exams completed in the previous study programme are recognised based on submitted syllabus. Any obligations which the candidate has completed in the previous programme and which can be recognized will be taken into account. The decision on the recognition as well as the study year of transfer will be made by a competent commission.
Candidates for transfer having completed their education abroad have to send the following documents:
- Copy of the final certificate of a four-year secondary school
- Certified Slovenian translation of the secondary school final certificate
- Copy of transcript of records of your Bachelor study
- English or Slovene official translation of your transcript of records
- Stamped and signed original Syllabuses of the courses you have already completed
- A short chronological description of your education (prepared by the candidate)
- Copy of your passport
- Proof of English language skills at B2 level or similar (see section Admission criteria).
Before enrolment a decision on recognition of foreign education must be issued, the recognition is part of the enrolment procedure.
