Povzetek. Znanstvena monografija z naslovom Ohranjevalci na Banachovih algebrah obravnava problem karakterizacije preslikav, ki ohranjajo določene lastnosti ali relacije med elementi izbrane algebre. V monografiji so predstavljeni nekateri novejši rezultati s področja linearnih in aditivnih ohranjevalcev obrnljivosti ter singularnosti, s področja ohranjevalcev komutativnosti na realnih matrikah ter s področja ohranjevalcev urejenosti na zgoraj trikotnih idempotentnih matrikah.

Abstract. In the monograph with the title Preservers on Banach Algebras we are observing the problem of characterizing mappings on some algebras that preserve a certain subset or a certain property or a certain relation. In the last few decades a lot of results on preservers on matrix algebras, as well as on more general rings and operator algebras, have been obtained. In this monograph we are studying some recent results concerning linear and additive mappings preserving invertibility or singularity, maps on real matrices preserving commutativity, and order preserving maps on upper triangular idempotent matrices.
