Povzetek. Znanje sodi med tiste vire podjetja, ki jih je težko posnemati. Taki viri so najpomembnejši dejavniki konkurenčne prednosti in poslovne uspešnosti. Znanje se prenaša skozi organizacijsko kulturo, poslovno politiko, spretnosti, postopke, dokumente in zaposlene. Procesom ustvarjanja, shranjevanja, izmenjave in uporabe znanja pravimo management znanja. Med pomembnejše dejavnike, ki omogočajo učinkovit management znanja v organizaciji, zagotovo sodi primerna organizacijska kultura. Ta zajema prepričanja, vrednote in načine vedenja, preko katerih ljudje v organizaciji in zunaj nje prejemajo in dojemajo sporočila in z njimi povezane informacije. Cilj naše raziskave je bil poiskati najpomembnejše povezave med tipi organizacijske kulture in procesi upravljanja znanja v visokošolskih institucijah.
Knowledge management in Higher Education Institutions. Knowledge is one of those company resources which are difficult to imitate. Such resources are the most important factors of competitive advantage and they improve business performance. Knowledge is transmitted through the organizational culture, business strategy, skills, processes, documents and employees. Managing knowledge means maximizing the effectiveness of the company by creating, storing, sharing and using knowledge. Among the most important factors that enable effective knowledge management within an organization is certainly the appropriate organizational culture. It includes beliefs, values and behaviours through which people in and outside the organization receive and make sense of the communicated data and related embedded information. Our study was designed to identify important linkages between types of organizational culture and processes of knowledge management in higher education institutions.
